Hon’s on Robson

Hon's Wun Tun House 漢記 on Urbanspoon

This is a huge open restaurant. I didn’t like the atmosphere. Maybe it’s the military looking fluorescent lighting, with the cold walls, and no room for privacy. It’s just not comforting, and the actual cold temperature during the winter doesn’t help.

It was Christmas, and we tried out duck and fried rice for lunch. The duck had hardly any meat. I know in some dishes, they eat the bone, but sorry for my ignorance, but I don’t think you’re suppose to eat these bones.  We were both unsatisfied with the super greasy duck, and pretty plain fried rice. Both were on really cheap plastic plates which degraded the food even more. For what you got, I thought the price was high.

Service wasn’t that great, but from places like these, I didn’t expect too much.

For a restaurant that I heard it was good, I was disappointed in everything. I wont be going back any time soon!
