McDonald’s on Victoria and 41st

McDonald's on UrbanspoonI don’t usually go for McDonald’s but ever since hanging out with Sheepie, these junk food seems to creep in from time to time. But it’s the first time in ages that I actually went in on my own to order a meal.

The staff greeted me, but he had a hard accent and talked softly so it was a bit difficult to understand him.

It was morning, so I ordered the Sausage and Egg Sandwich meal which comes with a hashbrown and drink – I ordered tea (Orange Pekoe). Of course the meal was read in a minute, but the quality…meh.

idearabbit-mcdonalds idearabbit-mcdonalds2 idearabbit-mcdonalds3Grease, oily, fatty…

The hashbrown was a bit soggy and floppy. Not crispy at all. It was super oily and in no time, the pack it was in, and the paper bag was soaked with oil…yuck. I can’t believe I used to eat this growing up, especially when I worked for them!

The sandwich was the same. When I opened the wrapper, it was all greasy. I prefer Tim Horton’s breakfast sandwich more than McDonald’s. It seem to have a lot of butter in it too. Both the hashbrown and sandwich were salty on top of the oilyness. At the end, I felt like oil was oozing out of my pores… For lunch, I was craving for some refreshing salad.

What can I say, I don’t think I want to eat from McDonald’s any time soon…except for maybe their salads, though I don’t see them at every location. (Yes, I know because Sheepie likes to drop in for their Ice Coffee).
