After teaching an afternoon yoga class to friends, one of them suggested going to Sushi Den. It’s a small restaurant in the International Village and T&T neighbourhood.
I ordered the Negitoro roll $3 which was pretty good. I also had the Pork Deep Fried Gyoza $5 (sorry no pic!) It was ok. I personally prefer the traditional Gyoza, just slight pan-fried on one side. The staff seemed to be Japanese, and the service was satisfactory.
My friend that wanted to come here ordered the Chicken Teri Ten Don $8.50. A fusion dish, but looked pretty good. Good portion too.Another time, my friend had the Out of Control special roll $10. We asked the staff what’ inside the ‘chef’s choice’ of ingredients, and she went back to the kitchen to ask. The list was extensive and it sounded pretty good. The pieces were large, and the wasabi mayo gave a nice punch.
