La Villetta Ristorante

La Villetta Ristorante Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - ZomatoWe stumbled upon this restaurant once when we were looking for a store in the neighbourhood. The restaurant has a slight European feel, and the place is divided into two sections. The fancier side was a lot more busy and noisy, so we opted for the more casual and almost empty side. Service was satisfactory, with a family-run like business feel.

idearabbit_lavilletta7 The Soup of the Day was Salmon Chowder $7. It was light, and had many chunks in it. Very good to start the dinner with. Slightly pricey, but you get seafood!

I had the Linguine Aglio e Olio $16.99 with prawns, garlic and olive oil. Normally, it’s spicy, but I asked for it to be non-spicy. The plate came with a swift of delicious garlic smell. It had decent numbers of huge, juicy prawns. Mmmm! So plump and flavourful. I always complain about pasta or noodles being too al dente for me (guess I just can’t get used to it). However, this firmness was just perfect. This was an excellent dish! Thumbs up. idearabbit_lavilletta9

Sheepie had the Scallopine al Cognac $22.99 with veal in cream, with carrots, broccoli and garlic. I had a small bite. It was also very flavourful. Would have even gone great with some long grain rice.

Would definitely come back! Slightly pricey, but I think it’s reasonable for the quality, service and atmosphere you experience.
