It was a sunny lovely day, and we sat in the patio with a roof area. It was a bar-like restaurant atmosphere, but there were people from all ages and types from family with little children on one side and bikers on the other. But we talked to the bikers, and they were really friendly. They were regulars, and they seem to know the menu well. They even let me take photos of their food after Sheepie mentioned to them that I was a food blogger.
I ordered Penne Alfredo $8.95 which included a drink from the kid’s menu since I wasn’t too hungry. I don’t know if it’s because it’s for kids that the pasta tasted bland and unappetizing, but I barely ate it. It was a good portion, but I was not happy with the dish, and munched more on Sheepie’s fries and salivated at the charcoiled beef patty in his burger. How can one mess up on a simple pasta dish?
The view and atmosphere on the other hand was great. While I went off to the bathroom, I heard a loud booming noise, and realized it was the train that passes right in front, along the shore where the restaurants all happen to be as well. When I returned to my seat, Sheepie was deaf and afraid of the next train passing by. Another one did pass by while we were there, but it didn’t honk as loud as the one before. Talk about giving heart attacks and making people deaf! Service by the restaurant was satisfactory.
The bikers next us allowed me to take photos of their dishes. Curry pasta and some steak! They both said their dishes tasted really good.
