I worked on it for half an hour, adding highlights and colours to part of the grass, and more blossoms on the trees

Morraine Lake Painting
Since I’ve been posting all old projects (just so that I can get a portfolio going first), I’d thought I’d post something I’m working on recently. Plus!! thought I’d show my face since it’s been awhile! LOL.
So this is a painting of Morraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies. It’s quite small, and I actually painted over a Morraine Lake that I had done a decade ago. It was pretty dark overall, and the colours were dull. Not a painting you’d like to put up on your wall. So I added some colours and painted with the ‘impressionist’ style that I’m really into right now
It’s too bad I don’t have a pic of what it looked before. Can’t compare now, but let me assure you that it’s waaaaaay better! Selling it for $40 (does not come with framing. – price does not include shipping and handling) I’m hoping to set up an etsy shop soon…
If I do, I’ll for sure posted on here!!!
New Painting – A New Beginning
So this is my first post for the idea rabbit blog! Yay!
I just started on this new painting 18″x24″ in acrylic! I spent an hour on it. Having fun! I’m thinking of calling it “Under the Sakura Tree”.
I’m planning to put two people standing, or sitting where I’m standing in the photo
I use different brands of acrylics. Not really so much for which brands I like, but just ended up with these through buying them at sales, or getting them through going to different art schools.
