Platform 7 on East Hastings

Sheepie had found this cafe and bPlatform 7 Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomatorought me over to show me a unique cafe in town. Indeed, the interior was built like an old train station, hence the name Platform 7.

I also had a Ham Breakfast $4.50 which had a super fluffy egg, in-between hot, crispy buns.

It’s no surprise that with a cool interior, good service and food that it’s very popular. It may be a challenge to find seating at times. When we returned again with about 8 people, it was definitely a challenge, so I don’t recommend for large groups. However, I really like the cafe! I didn’t know that there’s also one on Broadway that’s close to my office. Definitely going to check out that one soon!

Terra Breads Cafe

Click to add a blog post for Terra Breads Cafe on ZomatoAfter Sheepie repaired my bike after collecting dust in the bike room for an year, we decided to take it out for a bike ride. Starting from downtown, we took the bike path that eventually led us to the other side in Olympic Village. We stopped at Terra Breads Cafe for a break. (there is conveniently a bike rack to lock up to right infront of the cafe)

It was my second time here, and just like the first time, the place was packed and busy with people enjoying the summer afternoon. The cafe was wide open on one side, and with fairly high ceilings and glass windows from top to the ground, it gave it a very airy feel.

idearabbit-terrabreads7idearabbit-terrabreads4I asked for a London Fog with Roiboos tea. Sheepie ordered a coffee with cookie. Total came to about $9. My tea was really foamy and quite pleasant. The view of downtown and Science world was very nice. The staff were very cheerful and upbeat. Would love to make this more of a weekly routine!

Breka Bakery & Cafe on Robson

Breka Bakery & Cafe on UrbanspoonA 24 hour cafe in downtown Vancouver. It’s a hip but modern cafe that feels quite spacious. Even late at night, it’s quite busy, especially with young language students. I found their drinks to be a bit too sweet. But this could be because I often ask for less syrup at other cafes, especially at Starbucks. It’s nice to see a cafe that you can go any day at any time of day. Their pastries look pretty good and I have tried their Eclair $4.50 at the Davie location. It was yummy!! Staff are for the most part friendly, and prices are fair.idearabbit-breka5 idearabbit-breka4 idearabbit-breka3 idearabbit-breka2 idearabbit-brekaA good selection of mouth-watering pastries from $2-$5
