Menya

Menya Japanese Noodle on Urbanspoon

We went with a large group of 8 but they were able to accommodate, even with the request of possibly 11 people. It’s a small ramen-ya (noodle house) and it was packed on a Friday evening.

The servers were all Japanese, and the atmosphere was like in a restaurant in Japan.

The food was a bit slow to come, but the taste seemed to be worth the wait. I ordered the  the Nagahama ramen $6.95 + $3.40 for gyoza and takikomi onigiri. Good authentic Japanese taste.

Nagahama Ramen

Compared to other ramen-ya, the restaurant is a little run down. The seat bench was really sticky – yuck. Our server made a mistake on the 3 saba bento that we ordered. One had to leave early, so she reluctantly took the salmon bento made by mistake.
Later on, she gave them 10% off. I thought it should have been more like 50%…considering the error bentos came late in the first place.

I love ramen, and happy to find this place! Will need to try it again!
