We were walking up and down for a place to grab a bite when we came upon this place. The sandwich board promoting their Burrito Special $9.95 which included a large burrito, salad and pop drew us in.
When we walked in, there was nobody inside except for what seemed like the manager. Sheepie asked if the restaurant was even open as all the lights were off, and it was a bit dark, despite sunlight coming in from the window. The fans mounted on the walls weren’t on, so the place was pretty warm. For Sheepie, he was dying from the heat.
The table’s surface had tiles, and there was a small bouque of flowers in a bottle.
He ordered the Burrito Special, and I ordered the Chips and Guacamole $4.95. The chips were super crispy, and the guacamole seemed fresh. Sheepie commented that neither was salted, but that was perfectly fine with me. Less sodium!
Sheepie got his wish for more salt. The burrito was extremely salty. The sauce on the top was pretty much red, ketchupy salt on top. Sheepie scraped that off. One end of the burrito where he started which had cheese and beans were salty. When I had a few bites from the other end, it just had dry tasteless chicken. I could say it’s one of the worst burrito we’ve tried. Might as well go for Taco Time instead for better and cheaper burritos.
The salad had a lot of chopped up leaf that were brown (some even black) on the edges. Blah.
Can’t go wrong with the diet coke…came from a can.
Service was ok.
Not sure if us sitting at the table by the window draw more customers in, but by the end of our meal, there were about 3 other tables occupied.
Will I return? Likely not.
