We were walking around Seattle and happen to come across this chocolate shop. How could Sheepie, the chocoholic resist? So he bought a bunch. Each piece was quite large, making it not suitable for a one biter unless you want to look like you’ve just shoved a jawbreaker in. I wasn’t too fond of the taste of their chocolate, and gave the rest to Sheepie. But Sheepie himself couldn’t eat them. He didn’t like them at all. Not sure what he did with them…

Thomas Haas in North Vancouver
I’m rarely in North Vancouver, but happen to due to work. I had been to the Kitsilano location, but never to the one in North Van. I was really surprised at how busy it was. Sure the cafe – or more like retail shop (not much seating space, nor standing space for that matter!) is small, but it seemed like the location was out in the middle of nowhere in Harbourside.
Service was satisfactory, although a bit slow or disorganized. I prefer the one in Kits just because of it’s accessible location and more tables to sit and relax with friends without people bumping into you all the time.
Chocolate is always of high quality. Love the packaging. Presentation of the sweets are very precise and artistic.
Vancouver Chocolate Club @ Blenz in False Creek
So for 2014′s Christmas Special, Blenz allowed the Chocolate Club (run by Sheepie), to be hosted at one of their location in False Creek (97 W 2nd Ave). They offered free hot drinks for those that came to the event, so thank you so much Blenz! And thank you to the Creative Director who made it happen! He also did a spiel on the chocolate that Blenz uses.
The cafe was new and clean, spacious and had a large decorated Christmas tree for the season. Service was ok, though they messed up our drink orders…but we did have 9 people…
We all got to sit at one big table. We exchanged information on chocolate (and other sweets), got to try chocolate that others had made. It was a successful event and a great way to end of the year!
