Da Claudio in Nuremberg, Germany

Hauptmarkt 16, 90403 Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany

Situated in the busy Hauptmarkt where the famous Christmas Market is held each year, the sat on the second floor of the Da Claudio restaurant, sitting by the window where we could look out into the square. The first floor was a bit more fancy, later learning that it was an Italian fine dining restaurant. It was full and very busy, so we were glad we had the half full upstairs with the peace and quiet.

We had a latte and piece of cake. Since Sheepie spoke German with the servers, I am not sure how well their English would be. I’m guessing that since it was by a heavy touristy attraction area that they would be able to understand the basics.

As with most coffee/dessert related things in Germany, they are really good! I wasn’t paying attention with the prices so can’t recall the cost. The place is clean, bright atmosphere with comfortable seating.

Cafe Bengodi in Seattle

Cafe Bengodi on Urbanspoon A very small Italian place right on the corner with about 10 tables. Though some parts were falling apart, it was cozy and colourful, with the place was run by one guy upfront. It was around 2pm and the streets outside was really quiet as everyone was watching the Sea Hawks Super Bowl game.  We wanted to eat and leave Seattle before the game ended and everyone came out onto the streets to create chaos and traffic jams.

It came with tuna, tomatoes, capers, oregano, olive oil and garlic. Overall, it was on the sour taste, but for me, that was good cuz I liked things with lemon or vinegar. The tuna seemed to be just out of a can. The portion was only slightly a bit too much, but overall quite satisfied with the dish.idearabbit_cafebengoni_seattle7

Pastaria Tonno $12

Sheepie told me that the toilet wasn’t working and had some weird setup with how it was built. I didn’t go and hoped I would run into a different bathroom elsewhere.

Caffe Calabria

Caffe Calabria on Urbanspoon

A really unique cafe on Commercial Drive. My friend took us there, and was surprised to see the decor of the cafe. It was fully decorated with statues and and paintings – a little over the top.
I’ve gone there twice, and didn’t have the rude experience that other seemed to have – yet. First time, we were with a big group and I didn’t even order anything. No one came to tell me that I needed to order something in order to sit down in the cafe as others have reviewed. Perhaps because we were a group of ten, and they couldn’t keep count on who was ordering what…

The second time, no problem again. We got some drinks and dessert – no problem.
Despite being quite late in the night, it was still lively with customers chatting away.

This is one cafe to check out! mostly because of the crazy interior. I haven’t seen an interior like this for a cafe elsewhere here!
